Sage Caprice Abowitt is a certified yoga instructor, birth doula, and childbirth educator who specializes in providing training that is adaptive, creative, and joyful. Connecting with clients through classes, teacher trainings, and special events, she guides students through movement for every stage of life.

A classically trained dancer, Caprice committed to a yoga practice after sustaining a severe back injury in college. Caprice now has over ten years experience teaching yoga and specializes in prenatal and postnatal yoga and yoga for children. She is also a certified doula and Certified Childbirth Educator, and provides education and support to expecting students and their families.

Caprice has taught classes and led teacher trainings all over the world, in places like Greece, Bali, and Costa Rica. She has also taught special events for organizations like Microsoft, Eileen Fisher, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and Wanderlust, and designed children’s yoga programs for a variety of diverse organizations. Previously, Caprice was a senior teacher and co-led Teacher Training for the Prenatal Yoga Center. Currently, she is Director of Education for Birthsmarter. In addition, she leads children’s yoga teacher trainings in NYC, across the U.S., and abroad. Her extensive and wide-ranging experience allows Caprice to engage with clients of all ages and backgrounds, fostering welcoming and inclusive classrooms for kids and adults alike.

Caprice is thrilled to help adults and children alike find joyful moments in their yoga practice while reaching their goals. Whether they’re learning to become flexible, healing from an injury, preparing for childbirth, honing their own skills as a teacher, or simply seeking the calm and balance that yoga brings, Caprice is grateful for the opportunity to guide you in movement.

After a decade in Brooklyn, Caprice recently returned to Phoenix with her husband and son.
